Dr. Brianna Swartz

Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident

Dr. Brianna Swartz is a Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident who provides individual and family psychotherapy and psychological testing. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. She received specialized training to provide therapeutic services for clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Her knowledge and skills were shaped from a variety of unique settings including ChildNet and the Faulk Center for Counseling. Most recently, Dr. Swartz completed her APA-accredited internship at the Nova Southeastern University, South Florida Consortium Internship Program where she provided psychotherapy in a correctional setting.

 

Throughout her training, Dr. Swartz has gained experience and proficiency in treating clients who present with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal and familial distress. She provides psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), emotional freedom technique (EFT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). She also incorporates the use of art and sand tray as supplementary forms of therapeutic expression.

 

  • Dr. Swartz utilizes a collaborative client-centered approach to build rapport and adapt treatment to the individual needs of her clients. She fosters a therapeutic environment in which clients feel unconditionally accepted throughout the stages of their healing journey. She provides clients with authentic support and genuine compassion that allow clients to “come as they are.”
