Dr. Jeff Matherson Cadichon is a Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology from the University of Burgundy Franche-Comté (France) on December 1, 2017. He is a two-time winner of the highly competitive Open Society Foundations Civil Society Scholar Award (CSSA) for his doctoral dissertation entitled "Psychological Vulnerability, School Resilience and Identity Processes in Adolescents and Young Adults in Post-Earthquake Haiti".


Dr. Cadichon holds a master’s degree in psychology from Toulouse II University (France) in 2014. He was also awarded the degree of master’s in psychology, Specialty Clinical Psychology: Psychopathological, Intercultural and Psychoanalytical in 2015 by Toulouse II University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Faculty of Human Sciences of the State University of Haiti in 2013.


He had teaching appointments at the University of Burgundy Franche-Comté (France), and he was a professor of Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy and Projective Tests at State University of Haiti for the last five years. He is the representative of Haiti on the Disaster Mental Health Standing Committee (DMHSC) of the Caribbean Alliance of National Psychological Associations (CANPA). He is a native speaker of Haitian Creole and French; and he also uses English as language of work.


Clinical psychologist, he used to collaborate with institutions in Haiti, such as hospitals, schools, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and non-profit organizations in psychological evaluation including testing, individual psychotherapy, and psychosocial interventions in emergencies. For the past five years, as the clinical director at Nadege Inc., a non-profit organization, he contributed to the implementation of a mental health program for women victims of sexual violence in Haiti. He was the mental health consultant at United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) following the earthquake of August 14, 2021, in Haiti with a view to strengthening the offer of community-based mental health care with a multidisciplinary and integrated approach and providing technical support to the Mental Health Unit of the Ministry of Public Health and Population as part of the mental health response in the context of emergencies.


Dr. Cadichon is is the author of the book ''NARRATIONS DU SENSIBLE - post-traumatic narratives of survivors of the 12 January 2010 earthquake in Haiti'' published by the Editions of the State University of Haiti.
