Psychology Intern

Michayla Yost is a Psychology Intern who provides therapy and psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her Master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of Florida, and her research interests focus on the cross-cultural assessment of social-emotional skills in European contexts.
 
Michayla has experience treating clients presenting with anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She specializes in evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and emphasizes adapting therapy to meet the needs of each individual. She strives to create a supportive space where clients feel accepted and understood, with the ultimate goal of helping them cultivate tools to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
 
In addition to therapy, Michayla conducts psychological evaluations and is trained in the ADOS-2 for diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through her practicum training, she also gained experience in autism evaluations, ADHD assessment, and intelligence and achievement testing.
