Paris walker, Psy.D
Dr. Paris Walker is dedicated to helping individuals gain deeper insight, navigate life’s challenges, and move toward meaningful growth through a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach to psychological care. She provides both therapy and comprehensive psychological assessment services to individuals across the lifespan.
Dr. Walker earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology. Her training spans university counseling centers, children’s hospitals, and community mental health settings, where she gained experience providing therapy, psychological assessment, psychoeducational services, and parent training to diverse populations.
Dr. Walker completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Services Center, providing therapeutic services to adults, children, and families while specializing in comprehensive psychological assessment. She continued at NSU’s School-Related Assessments and Clinical Interventions (SPACI) clinic for her postdoctoral residency, where her work included psychological and psychoeducational assessment, clinical supervision of doctoral trainees, and adjunct instruction within the College of Psychology.
In therapy, Dr. Walker utilizes an integrative approach informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and humanistic approaches. She works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, stress, major life transitions, and complex family and social-emotional challenges. She strives to create a space where clients feel understood and empowered while developing greater self-awareness and practical tools for meaningful change. Dr. Walker also values helping individuals and families gain clarity and a deeper understanding of their unique strengths and needs through psychological assessment. Her experience includes providing evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, trauma-related concerns, anxiety, depression, and other emotional and behavioral concerns.
At the heart of Dr. Walker’s work is an ingrained passion for helping people better understand themselves, overcome adversity, and build fulfilling lives. She looks forward to continuing to serve individuals and families throughout the diverse South Florida community.
